I don't understand the buzz about The Hold Steady. Is this an inside joke that I'm not smart enough to figure out? Honestly the first time I heard one of their songs I thought, "hey, the band from Empire Records made a new song." But I realized after that that was not Renee Zellweger, and this is not Coyote Shivers, and then I was bummed. Do judge for yourself.
